SCDCL and Laborers Local 783 joined Pastor BJ Sims and Kingdom Culture San Bernardino to support a demolition project that will help expand a vital community center serving over 300 families. This partnership reflects the Laborers’ deep commitment to uplifting communities and supporting those working every day to make a difference.
Union contractors, labor leadership, and industry partners gathered for a two-day event at Morongo Casino, focused on strengthening collaboration between contractors and union representatives. With support from SCDCL, UCON, and LIUNA affiliates, the event fostered meaningful dialogue to advance shared goals in workforce development, infrastructure, and the future of skilled labor.
SCDCL, along with members of Locals 724 and 1414, partnered with @EngageLAUSD and @CityYear to support nearly 500 families still recovering from the January fires. With help from generous partners, we proved once again that when our community needs us—Laborers Rise.
SCDCL and LIUNA Local 724 partnered with @EngageLAUSD to clear space at Brentwood Elementary for Palisades Charter Elementary, which lost its campus in the recent wildfires. When disaster strikes, Laborers Rise—lending a hand, bringing hope, and helping rebuild what was lost.
