Laborers Help Rebuild After Wildfires Displace Local School

SCDCL and LIUNA Local 724 partnered with @EngageLAUSD to clear space at Brentwood Elementary for Palisades Charter Elementary, which lost its campus in the recent wildfires. When disaster strikes, Laborers Rise—lending a hand, bringing hope, and helping rebuild what was lost.

Laborers Deliver Relief to LAUSD Families in Need

SCDCL, in partnership with the LAUSD Office of Development and Civic Engagement, joined Locals 220, 300, and 1414 to deliver diapers, hygiene packs, and essential supplies to families in West LA, Pacoima, and South Central. Laborers Serve First Responders and Support Second Chances After the Eaton Fire

On January 19, 2025, SCDCL and Locals 300, 345, 724, and 1414 came together to serve meals and show gratitude to wildfire crews battling the Eaton Fire. With support from partners like Scott Budnick, Emilio Rivera, and the Growlersburg Conservation Camp, this day honored both frontline heroes and the belief in second chances—proving that when our communities need us, Laborers Rise.

Laborers Step Up with Food and Water Relief After Eaton Fire

SCDCL, alongside Locals 300, 724, and 345, returned after the weekend to deliver clean water and expand Local 300’s monthly food giveaway to support over 1,200 people affected by the Eaton Fire.
