On May 31, 2025, we gathered to honor the achievements of our 2024 graduating class at the Laborers Training School, 786 LIUNA Members who reached Journeyperson status through dedication, grit, and the power of apprenticeship.
Speakers included David Espinoza (Executive Director, LTS), Ernie Ordoñez (LIUNA Vice President & Pacific Southwest Regional Manager), Assemblymember Phillip Chen (CA-59), and Jon P. Preciado, Business Manager of SCDCL and Chairman of the Laborers Training & Retraining Trust Fund, whose leadership continues to guide our mission forward.Graduates came from across our LIUNA family: Locals 89, 220, 300, 585, 652, 783, 1184, and 1309.
In this video, business managers from many of these Locals share heartfelt words for their graduates and welcoming them into a proud brotherhood and sisterhood built on hard work, unity, and lifelong opportunity.
