I am proud to announce this year's opening for submittals to the Mike Quevedo Sr. Scholarship Fund for Scholarships to sons and daughters of Laborer Union members in Southern California. Complete Applications must be received by April 30, 2009.
Negotiations were completed with the AGC, BIA and the SCCA for the Master Labor Agreement. The increases are as follows:
July 1, 2006: $1.75 per hour
July 1, 2007: $2.00 per hour
July 1, 2008: $2.25 per hour
The July 1,2006 increase allocation is as follows:
Wages: $ 1.60 per hour
Vacation/SupplementaI Dues: $.15 per hour
In addition, the rate for Laborer Foreman is increased from $1.50 per hour over the highest paid laborer under his supervision to $1.75.

The Southern California District Council of Laborers and its affiliate Gunite Local #345 have reached agreement for a three-year agreement with the Gunite/Shotcrete Contractors. The increases and decreases for the three-year agreement are $2.12, $2.25, $2.25 as follows:
The July 1, 2006 increase and decrease allocation is as follows:
Pension: -$.10 per hour
SupplementaI Dues: +$.10 per hour
The August 1, 2006 increase allocation is as follows:
Wages: $ .75 per hour
The January 1, 2007 increase allocation is as follows:
Wages: $ 1.25 per hour
SupplementaI Dues: $.10 per hour
LWPL: $.01 per hour
Center for Contract Compliance: $.01 per hour
The July 1, 2007 increase allocation is as follows:
SupplementaI Dues: $.15 per hour
To be allocated by The Union: $2.10 per hour
The July 1, 2008 increase allocation is as follows:
SupplementaI Dues: $.15 per hour
To be allocated by The Union: $2.10 per hour
In addition, the rate for Foreman is increased by $.25 to $1.75 per hour over highest paid worker in his craft.

The Southern California District Council of Laborers and the AGC have reached a settlement of the Tunnel Master Agreement. The increases are as follows:
July 1, 2006: $3.02 per hour
July 1, 2007: $2.25 per hour
July 1, 2008: $2.25 per hour
The July 1, 2006 increase and decrease allocation is as follows:
Wages: +$ 2.72 per hour
Vacation: +$.16 per hour
Supplemental Dues: +$.12 per hour
Training/Retraining: +$.20 per hour
Pension: -$.10 per hour (reallocated to Training)
Center for Contract Compliance: -$.10 per hour (reallocated to Training)
Contract Administration Fund: +$.01 per hour
Industry Advancement Fund: +$.01 per hour
